The weather is getting warmer, so bugs are starting to swarm! If you don’t want pests taking over your home, you must take action now. This blog post will discuss what attracts bugs and how to prevent them from entering your house. We’ll also provide tips for getting rid of them if they manage to make their way in. Let’s get started!

One of the key attractions for bugs is moisture. All bugs need water to survive, and if there are areas in and around your home with standing water or high humidity, you can bet these insects will be swarming around it, looking for a place to nest. To prevent this, ensure all areas are dry and as free of standing water as possible. Additionally, use dehumidifiers or exhaust fans in your crawlspace to keep the moisture in your home at an optimal level.

Another way to discourage bug infestations is limiting access points in your home. Check windows and doors for gaps or cracks that could let in even the tiniest of pests. Sealing any gaps will help limit the number of bugs that can make their way in.

Finally, it’s a good idea to keep trees, bushes, firewood, as well as clutter and debris, away from the outside walls of your home. Keeping gutters clear of debris is also recommended. This will limit the places pesky insects can hide while they search for a way inside.

If, despite all your precautions, some bugs still manage to get into your home, call Turin Pest Control to create a treatment plan. Preventing bug infestations is key to keeping your home free of unwanted pests. Dealing with the swarm is the first step to taking control of your home’s insect problem.
